We'll begin our second Streetfest with a short biographical sketch of Ross's life, especially his academic life, to set some context for the other talks and for our celebrations. Of course we'll have to leave out many fascinating details, but perhaps the sketch can provide a bare framework and we can all ask Ross questions about details that interest us at afternoon tea or dinner.
